Mikel is an Automation Civil Engineer with wide experience in virtual commissioning in different areas such as industrial applications, renewable energy, and even aerospace systems. After working in the industry, Mikel is now working as a lecturer and researcher and doing a Ph.D. in Emulation and Virtual Commissioning.

Simumatik3D is an emulation tool for industrial automated systems that let everyone be able to test PLC and industrial robot programs in an easy way.

Nowadays, the software is mainly used in several automation courses and research projects by the University of Skövde in Sweden, and even other universities over the world.

And thanks to the support of students and users who buy a license or make donations, the project is kept alive and the development is continued.
