The Simumatik Team have just released their first version of the Simumatik Academy to support the learning and development of their customers, and help them on their digital twin journey.

The new Simumatik Academy site offers users free learning content around utilizing the platform fully, and key usage areas including PLC programming, Python programming and third-party integration.

Arvid Boberg , Automation Engineer and Academy Content Creator in Simumatik says:

“We’re really excited to offer our customers more value and learning opportunities with the release of the Simumatik Academy. Whether you are a student wanting to study automation engineering, a university lecturer looking to add practical exercises to your course, or an industry professional on a virtual commissioning journey, our aim is to provide you with good quality content to help you achieve these goals.

With this first release, we’ve provided key content on how to build systems and components in the Simumatik Platform, using Python for programming behaviours, programming PLC’s, and integrating 3rd party software and hardware, including RobotStudio, Codesys and Siemens TIA portal.

Our plan going forward with the Academy is to develop more learning paths for our customers, where they can also gain certification for their achievements, so watch this space for more to come!”

Course structure and access

To access courses, you just need to have signed up and created a Simumatik account first. The course material will then be freely available for you to access. Each course provides an introduction on what you will learn, any previous recommended requirements and materials included.
